About Us

Welcome to Contra Costa County Retired Employees Association - CCCREA

The CCCREA was established in 1972 by a group of Public Employees Union, Local One activists who felt that protection of their benefits should be carried on after they retired from their UNION jobs, seeing a value in having a lobbying body watch over their retirement.

The President & Executive Director monitors the actions of the Retirement Board and reports back to the membership. When necessary, lobbies the Retirement Board and the Board of Supervisors on member issues and works with the County Benefits Division on retirement related issues.

The CCCREA holds monthly meetings, quarterly luncheons and other social activities. New members are sponsored to the first luncheon and members pay half the cost of lunch.

The CCCREA is affiliated with the California Retired County Employees Association representing the twenty 1937 Act counties founded in 1969. Our representatives sit on various committees of the Association and are active in safeguarding retirees' benefits at the state level.
